Developer Terms of Service

These Developer Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ShoortPlus Developer Platform, including all APIs, SDKs, webhooks, documentation, and developer tools available at developers.shoortplus.com ("Platform").

By registering a developer account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to these Terms. These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you ("Developer") and ShoortPlus.

1. Developer Account

To use the Platform, you must create a developer account. You must provide accurate and complete information and keep it updated. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account. You may not share API keys, access tokens, or account credentials with unauthorized parties.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the ShoortPlus API and developer tools to:

• Build applications that enhance the ShoortPlus user experience
• Access public and authorized user data as permitted by these Terms and the API documentation
• Integrate ShoortPlus features into your authorized application
• Build analytics tools, content tools, and creator management platforms

3. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Platform to:

• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect ShoortPlus user data beyond API rate limits
• Build applications that violate ShoortPlus's main Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Sell, resell, or redistribute API access or data to third parties
• Use the API to train machine learning or AI models without explicit written permission
• Circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or security controls
• Use the API to facilitate spam, harassment, or abusive behavior
• Store sensitive user data beyond what is necessary for your application's function
• Use ShoortPlus branding or trademarks in a way that implies official endorsement without permission

4. API Rate Limits and Fair Use

API usage is subject to rate limits as specified in the API documentation. Standard accounts receive up to 10,000 requests per minute. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling. 5. Data and Privacy

When your application accesses ShoortPlus user data via OAuth, you must:

• Only request permissions your application genuinely needs
• Clearly disclose to users what data you access and how you use it
• Comply with all applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) in your jurisdiction
• Not sell, share, or monetize user data obtained through the API
• Implement appropriate security measures to protect user data
• Delete user data upon user request or when access is revoked

6. Application Review

Applications that access extended API permissions or user data are subject to review before receiving production access. We may require you to provide details about your application, its functionality, and your data handling practices. We reserve the right to deny or revoke API access at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

ShoortPlus retains all rights to the API, SDKs, platform, and all associated intellectual property. You retain ownership of your application code. You grant ShoortPlus the right to display your application name and logo in our developer showcase if approved. The ShoortPlus name, logo, and trademarks may only be used in compliance with our Brand Guidelines.

8. Modification and Versioning

We may update, deprecate, or modify API endpoints. We will provide reasonable notice (typically 90 days) before deprecating major API versions. It is your responsibility to update your application to use current API versions. We are not liable for disruptions caused by failing to adopt API updates.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your developer account and revoke API access if you violate these Terms, abuse the API, or engage in any activity that harms the platform or its users. Critical violations (e.g., security breaches, data misuse) may result in immediate termination without notice.

10. Disclaimers

THE API AND DEVELOPER PLATFORM ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS, SPECIFIC FUNCTIONALITY, OR DATA ACCURACY. USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

SHOORTPLUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE DEVELOPER PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF SUCH POSSIBILITY.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction as specified in ShoortPlus's main Terms of Service.
